The Bob Jensen Warmer

11/25/2014

Did you know?  Our longtime-popular pottery dish, the Bob Jensen Warmer, has been saving time-hassled cooks for years and years now.  Pop your fish, chicken, pork, vegetables, or anything you want into the warmer to cook for dinner, or in leftovers to reheat in no time.

~Microwave, Oven, and Dishwasher safe!
~The holes in the top allow for just the right amount of air to vent, keeping food moist and well cooked.
~The lid has a sizable handle to grasp, and the base holds all of your food perfectly.
~Use it to reheat leftover Thanksgiving dinner by dishing up and warming the whole thing, or by simply placing the lid over your plate in the microwave.
~Keep tortillas fresh and warm by separating the lid and base and placing in the oven to warm, then placing the tortillas in to serve on the dinner table.

WE LOVE THIS DISH!

We celebrate Advent in several ways, sometimes we see the advent calendar as the pictures above, celebrating every day of the month of  December, oftentimes filling the cubbies with treats or gifts for the children.  It is a way of counting down the days until Christmas.   We carry these two wooden advent calendars, American Made and gorgeous!

In other Catholic traditions, the Advent Wreath is used the four Sundays before Christmas to commemorate the coming of Christ into the world, and to prepare the hearts of the people to celebrate his birth on Christmas. According to the New Catholic Encyclopedia, Advent is
  • to prepare themselves worthily to celebrate the anniversary of the Lord's coming into the world as the incarnate God of love,
  • thus to make their souls fitting abodes for the Redeemer coming in Holy Communion and through grace, and
  • thereby to make themselves ready for His final coming as judge, at death and at the end of the world.

Week of Candles

Woodwick and Ribbonwick brand candles are so very unique.  This week, all candles are 20% off!  We carry a lovely variety of seasonal and everyday scents, and it's time that you experienced what makes these candles so special.  Great as gifts or your own home improvement!

What makes them special:  Woodwicks contain an actual wooden wick, in turn increasing the burn time of the quality soy wax, and emitting a special crackle to be heard throughout your home.  It's like having a warm, glowing, crackling fireplace in your own home!  Ribbonwicks on the other hand have a wick made of actual ribbon, and the structured cells of the ribbon allow for an even burn, so no more messy, burned out wicks with extra wax!  These candle use all of their available fuel, and we love the rippling glow of the Ribbonwick.
